For licensed clinicians only
EM DocBox is a reference and decision-support aid intended solely for use by licensed healthcare professionals practicing within their scope and jurisdiction. It is not a substitute for clinical judgment, formal medical training, direct patient assessment, or the prevailing standard of care.
Nothing on this site establishes a clinician-patient relationship, and nothing here should override an attending physician's judgment, your institution's protocols, or your hospital formulary.
Not for patients or consumers. EM DocBox does not provide medical advice to the public. If you are a patient seeking care, contact a licensed clinician or, in an emergency, call your local emergency number. Do not use this tool to self-diagnose or self-treat.
Verify before you act
Drug doses, indications, contraindications, guideline summaries, and AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date information. Medicine changes; this reference may lag behind it.
The clinician using EM DocBox is solely responsible for independently verifying any dose, recommendation, or value against primary sources (FDA labeling, peer-reviewed literature, current society guidelines) and local protocols before acting on it.
- Cross-check every dose against the product label and your institutional formulary.
- Confirm guideline recommendations against the current published source.
- Treat any calculation output as a starting point to be verified, not a final answer.
About the AI features
The AI-assisted features — including Evidence Search, Discharge Planner, and Lab Analyzer — generate responses using a large language model (Anthropic's Claude). These outputs are produced by a statistical model and can be incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong, including in ways that look confident and plausible.
Treat AI output as a drafting and brainstorming aid, never as an authority. A clinician must read, verify, and take full responsibility for any AI-generated content before it informs a clinical decision or reaches a patient.
Never enter protected health information (PHI). Do not type patient names, MRNs, dates of birth, or other identifiers into any AI feature. These tools are for de-identified use only. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

We do not warrant that the content is error-free or that the service will be uninterrupted.
Limitation of liability
You use EM DocBox at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EM DocBox, its author, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages — including patient harm, loss of data, or loss of profits — arising from your use of, or inability to use, this service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
